Purr For The Alpha

Set in the shifter world of Timber Valley, alpha wolf Ty Battle has been circling lynx shifter Karen Padfoot for a year with nothing to show for it. When her father steals from the Battle pack and Karen arrives to negotiate his release, Ty finally has leverage: she works off the debt at his nightclub, up close and unavoidable. The arrangement is purely transactional, until someone outside the pack takes an interest in Karen that is far less benign.

Maxine Mitchell handles the sparring between these two with a dry wit that keeps the story moving. Her Karen has real bite, and her Ty lands somewhere between charming and exasperating in exactly the right way. At just over four hours, the runtime suits the book's breezy tone, making it an easy listen that delivers a complete romance arc without padding.
